Restore your Apple Watch from a backup or set it up as new
After resetting your Apple Watch, you have ResetAppleWatch the option to restore it
from a backup or set it up as a new device.
To restore your Apple Watch from a backup:
- Ensure that your Apple Watch is connected to its charger and within range of your iPhone.
- On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
- Tap the "My Watch" tab.
- Tap the name of your Apple Watch at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap "Restore from Backup".
- Select the backup you want to restore from.
- Enter your Apple ID password if prompted.
The restoration process may take several minutes, depending on the size of the backup. Once the process is complete, your Apple Watch will be restored to the state it was in when the backup was Reset Apple Watch created.
To set up your Apple Watch as a new device:
- Ensure that your Apple Watch is connected to its charger and within range of your iPhone.
- On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
- Tap the "My Watch" tab.
- Tap the name of your Apple Watch at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap "Unpair Apple Watch".
- Tap "Unpair" again to confirm.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Apple Watch as a new device.
By choosing to restore from a backup or set up as new, you can customise the post-reset experience of your Apple Watch to meet your specific needs and preferences.
