It took a toll on everybody OSRS GP including me, and I believe that's one thing that turned several of my friends away. As a youngster I still remember being a little confused about whether Draynor was Varrock. Thai Tong, a Thai Tong-like character, was on Sal's Realm. Many of you may have had the pleasure of meeting him.
He was one of the first people to tell me how to accomplish things and taught me a long the way. They have been close friends for many years! He was always there for me whenever I needed him. When Dungeoneering was released, he took time to explain the game to me.
I'm an inactive participant who played from 2007 to the year 2011. I was just getting my game up-to-date when Evolution of Combat updates came out. IMO it looks like it totally ruined the game, and it makes me question whether I should start playing again.
Over the course of those 4 years, my average playing time was at least 4 hours per day. I believe it was the best thing to ever happen in my life. This update has made me feel more depressed than I've ever felt and I'm ashamed for them to have done it. Do I need to go back to it or try to forget about all the great memories? Do I need to go back and try to play RS 07 again?
While a lot is subjective, no one who played Runescape in any of its versions in the past can recreate the initial thrill/flush of trying a brand new game or content.
Everyone has their preferred cheap OSRS gold or stage in development. 07scape could be the game you would rather play over the version you are currently playing. Others felt the similar. The initial excitement of "OMG! I miss it so much" was only a moment. But, even though the engine is in use, the community and mindset of players has changed.
