Jagex may believe that OSRS GP can be saved by adjusting to other MMOs. A modification of adapt or die. The truth is that Jmods are restricted in how and who they talk to. It's a matter of time, they can only talk to a handful of people per day. Most Jmods will have a small number of people they talk to, if they have any. The relationships have been developed through time, and will basically constitute "Yes!" groups that follow Jmod suggests. Fmods (some disguised Jmods) remove any discord from forums.
Jagex has got to change its ways, Jagex has gotta adapt its forums. Fmods should be removed. Fmods should become a salaried job within Jagex that has high standards. There will be no more Fmods referring to players as "you are a lot" and so on. Some Fmods are destroying forums in sections.
The second is to update forums with more voice, more choices. Players can ignore other players and have access to other tools, and can create networks within forums. Allow the RS forums the flexibility of Facebook which is a easy way to group them. But player driven, not all the secret forums Jagex has polluting the forums, and turning forums into rigid regions.
Create a player council and allow players to choose 12 members that will have the power to approve changes. A small amount, perhaps just a few hundred thousand dollars annually. Facebook and Twitter can be used to facilitate dialogue between users.
This will stop years like 2012, when Jagex refused to listen to players. Jagex did not have the right information when they said that 90% of players are fans of SoF and that 80% love EoC. Emotional nonsense is not an ideal concept. Talking is more effective, but the time is running out. Tick Tock Jagex.
I am an EOC supporter, a big runescape 3 gold one. The best aspect of games and technological advancement is that they keep evolving. It's been 13 years since runescape first launched. Consider how much technology and gaming has developed over the past 13 years.
