Red Bull Summer Edition 2024, Another season, another new limited-time Red Bull flavor. Summer Edition Red Bull Unlike my favorite Summer Edition to date (2021’s Dragonfruit, which was renamed Green Edition when it was made permanent in 2022), the flavor profile on this one is a lot more specific.

Red Bull Summer Edition 2024 is supposed to taste like—drumroll please—“Curuba-Elderflower.” Before we get to what exactly that means, let’s cover when and where you’ll be able to find this new obscure flavor.

Red Bull Energy Drink The Summer Edition 250ml Can.

Per the energy drink newshounds over at STACK3D, this year’s Summer Edition will be available from May through October of 2024. While my knowledge of the seasons may be limited to Bath & Body Works inventing a new one every three weeks, I’m pretty sure summer isn’t usually six months long—not yet, anyway. Red Bull Summer Edition 2024

At this time, there are no plans to release this Edition in a zero-sugar format. It’ll be sold anywhere you normally find Red Bull’s limited-edition flavors: groceries, gas stations, convenience stores, pretty much everywhere.

Curuba is a fruit commonly found in the Southern Hemisphere. Curuba is also known as banana passionfruit because, you guessed it, it tastes like a mix of banana and passionfruit. I guess “Banana Passionfruit Elderflower” was too wordy for a flavor name. Red Bull Summer Edition 2024

Elderflower is a little more common here in the United States, at least. Much like Curuba, it has a flavor that seems to only be described in comparison to other things. Elderflower is often described as floral, sweet, and…a little musky? It’s like Red Bull ran out of all the flavors we know and decided to just grab around blindly inside an international market’s produce sectio.

Caffeine.

Caffeine is naturally present in more than 60 plants and is contained in many foodstuffs such as coffee, tea and chocolate.

One of caffeine’s primary actions in the human body is a stimulating effect on cognitive functions. Caffeine helps to improve concentration and increase alertness.

One 250-ml can of Red Bull Energy Drink contains 80 mg of caffeine.

The 80 mg of caffeine contained in one 250-ml can of Red Bull Energy Drink is about the same amount as in a cup of coffee.

Sugars.

Red Bull Energy Drink is made with sugar sourced from sugar beets.

Sugars are well known carbohydrates and can be found in many foodstuffs from fruits and fruit juices to other beverages including energy drinks. Carbohydrates are basic nutrients consumed in the daily diet, and whether found in fruits or Red Bull Energy Drink, your body processes these sugars the same way.

Red Bull Energy Drink contains 11 g of sugars per 100 ml. This is the same amount of sugar as in 100 ml of orange or apple juice.

There is also Red Bull without sugars: Red Bull Sugarfree and Red Bull Zero.

Taurine.

Taurine is an amino acid, naturally occurring in the human body and present in the daily diet. It is involved in a wide range of biological processes. Red Bull Summer Edition 2024

Taurine is found in high concentrations in muscle, brain, heart and blood. A person weighing 70 kg has approximately 70 g of taurine distributed throughout their body. Put another way, a 70-kg person naturally already has in their body 70 times the amount of taurine contained in one can of Red Bull Energy Drink.

Taurine is also contained in various foodstuffs like scallops, fish, poultry and most infant formulas.
