Together with the direction RS 3 Gold this survey is trying to drag people's opinions, I am very, very, very fearful. Repeatable quests, HD clients, once more hoping to push new skills, etc.. Questions regarding how polling content functions in particular is frightening, provided Jagex's current penchant for just forcing content which has failed multiple polls via as ethics updates.
And of course: Asking for individuals favourite games, location of residence, employment status, and even their PHONE NUMBER is extremely inappropriate for this kind of survey. Appears nakedly enjoy an effort for gathering marketing data for sale. Editing this in now that I think about it The more I consider the phone number bit, the slimier it feels to be fair. We all know completely damn well that Jagex is not going to call anyone who answers this poll. Leading people to provide their personal information into a survey under the guise of"Wow you are so smart, perhaps we'll call you to your opinions on upcoming stuff!" Is totally disgusting, and if anything, I didn't react extreme enough.
The main answer I gave in this survey that I want to get around: The final decision on any material should be produced with BOTH the community AND Jagex working together to produce content that is actually worth adding to Runescape. Players have proven they will vote yes to a pretty absurd shit (Watch the Tome debacle) where Jagex needs to intervene and understand that asking was a mistake, while Jagex has also demonstrated when they forge ahead in their own it doesn't work out well for us. Trying to frame this query as a either/or is leaving out a massive amount of nuance from the problem, and this is something that applies to numerous issues discussed in the survey.
This survey gives me the vibes which you guys actually need to get known for your communication with your community, and that you are well knowledgeable of the gaming world about you. None of them are especially true. Jagex"communicates" with their neighborhood more than many other games, but not nearly the most, especially once you don't count polls that are crampacked full of voting biasing problems, questions which shouldn't be asked, and (what seems like) intentional misinformation or lack of crucial information needed to make an educated choice.
You're very afraid of repeatable quests and OSRS HD which will be discretionary and that won't affect you at all whatsoever, nor Buy RS3 Gold will influence Runescape for you since one is decorative and another won't give rewards? This type of overreaction makes it hard to choose what you're saying seriously. And new skills - those items that a large majority of gamers want, but not quite 75% in any particular case - yes, truly Jagex are ignoring their whole player-base here. Don't overlook the massive number of people that spite vote contrary to pvp updates just because they do not enjoy the community. Unpolled changes are okay if that is the case.
