It may be only two months before the release of NBA 2K22, and we should hear some core details about NBA 2K22 soon. Before that, we hope that these features will be included in NBA 2K22.
Cross-platform game
Many games-including Rocket League, Fortnite, MLB The Show and other games accept and support cross-platform games. It's time for 2K to follow suit.
We even have NBA 2K league professional players like Josh "Choc" Humphries campaigning for it on social media.
Let’s hope that 2K will fulfill most of Choc’s and our wishes, and allow PlayStation and Xbox players to compete with each other online.
Cross-generational games
Although we are working hard, 2K22 is expected to support online competition between players on current and next-generation systems. Similarly, The Show has this feature, so 2K counterparts have begun to support this feature.
Carryover savings in MyNBA
For people with a hardcore franchise model like me, MyNBA features are a godsend. It is not perfect, we will talk about it later, but it is still the best franchise model in existence.
We would love to see that 2K includes carryover preservation, or at least the carryover roster. Gamers like me, and players like SkillzFromDa6, Professor2K, Peregrino, and others work frantically to create these rosters for the community. It is a shame to have to put the whole thing together every year.
The Show has supported it until their first next generation iteration, and hopefully it will return in MLB The Show 22. Now, we are happy to see it in NBA 2K22.
MyNBA's tighter behind-the-scenes mechanism
MyNBA provides an unprecedented choice for franchise players. Unfortunately, last year’s version had some crashes and some mechanisms did not work properly.
Player progress, injuries during the game, and other seemingly trivial but very important issues still exist. MyNBA has so many great features, if they don't add any new features to this version, and just make sure that everything in the current mode works as designed, it's totally acceptable.
Create more hairstyles for players
The NBA is a league with many hairstyles, but NBA 2K has too many popular hairstyles that you can't touch in the game. Creating MyPlayers or players for the offline roster will be more interesting because more hairstyles can be accessed.
Face upload options for creating players and/or better sculpting tools
This is a compound wish.
WWE 2K has long had a tool that allows its creative community to upload someone's face image so that it can be used on the created player. For many years, the NBA 2K creation community has been seeking the same tool, but it hasn't gotten it yet.
Even if the tool is not available, it would be great if the creator could use the same sculpting tools as those available in MLB The Show. With the help of the sculptor in The Show, if you are good enough with the tools, you can make almost anyone's face.
It would be great to have something like this in NBA 2K.
Salary cap mode in MyTeam
Madden Ultimate Team has a salary cap mode. It provides the necessary balance for the collector mode experience that may get out of control. Since the ill-fated SuperMax appeared a few years ago, 2K has refused to bring this feature back to its collector mode.
It's time to bring this concept back.
Draft mode in MyTeam
Literally, all other collector modes have draft capabilities.
The return of the European League
If the rumors about Luka Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki are true, then this seems to be a good year to bring back the European League.
The league has not participated in the game since 2017, but since the two greatest European stars in NBA history may become the front and center of this year's game, this will be a good time to celebrate the basketball game and the European fanatical 2K fan base.
Pro-Am Specialist Tool
The NBA 2K league desperately needs a minor league, but one of the main obstacles is structure. Already running leagues, such as WR and MPBA have to keep their own statistics, records, etc.
Although the concept of 2K leagues is derived from user-created organizations, 2K does not allow its users to organize leagues in its Pro-Am mode. This feature will allow more structured and traceable feeder alliances to operate more smoothly.
It will be a wonderful thing to see this tool being added to help promising players, coaches, announcers and content creators that may emerge.
