Diablo IV Gold further expands the number of character customization options by presenting its campfire of adventurers with random looks when players load the game. If the Archangel of Death, Maltheal, went after the stone, and then began to attack his companions Tyrael was the one to took his friend to Pandemonium to stop death from happening.

Tyrael prefers to retain his mortal body, but then returns to his angelic family to become an aspect of Justice as well as of Wisdom. Diablo 3 ends with him considering whether his new mortal counterpart, who could be corruptedin the future, could someday become the next menace towards Heaven, Hell, and Sanctuary as well as the life itself. It's clear that the Aspect of Justice and Wisdom most likely won't be content as Inarius marches an army upon Hell in search of his former love, Lilith.

The latest Diablo 4 cinematic trailer from Blizzard has Inarius fighting Lilith Armed forces at both of their backs. Although the scene doesn't show Tyrael's involvement directly, his involvement in the creation of Horadrim as well as his influence on the Paladins of Sanctuary indicates that he's in the game.
