If we were to look ahead to the next event it was predicted that we'd expect it to happen in February. That turned out to be true. . Since 2014 there has OSRS gold been an additional Double or Bonus XP event that is currently taking place. Based on how the previous events have performed We wouldn't think of any changes in the future as Jagex appear to have perfected the process.
The players get 48 hours of Double XP to make use of over approximately 10 days. There was one outlier where the event lasted over 21 days. 10-day events are more likely to draw massive numbers of players due their limited scope.
For those who don't in the know, RuneScape is an absolute hit. A darned big deal. To those in the MMORPG world. As it enters its 21st anniversary it's one of the biggest MMORPGs out there and, in my opinion, the most enjoyable free one. The theme is high fantasy but with a similar medieval tinge all through it . It's a mix that works superbly well; just ask J.K. Rowling.
RuneScape is an important game for me personally because of three tiny reasons: being the first MMORPG I played, the first game I can be said to have been addicted to; and the first game I played that could be described as "online" although it's far from being the best. It's still three milestones in gaming that shouldn't be overlooked.
After a brief, basic tutorial on the aptly named Tutorial Island I found myself in the boring but quite enjoyable riverside town of Lumbridge. In Lumbridge, each new player gets the fundamentals down that are required to create fire or place money into the bank. It's important to note that, in RuneScape every player starts on a level playing field (weirdly in the 3rd level).
There's no set classes or predetermined building plans and only the skills you have, towards reaching the maximum of 99. However, since this isn't practical and perhaps not for most of us I'd suggest that you concentrate on a handful of. While the overall character or combat level has the maximum in 126 (or an arbitrary number of 123 in RuneScape Classic). I believe I reached 85 before I decided to call it an end. Maybe school started back up.
There are also five attack types which you should master: stab smash, slash, magic and ranged. My initial prey included goblins and chickens. But there's plenty of bigger and more dangerous prey out there. Predators, too. Sure, RuneScape has a steep learning curve beginning. Once I'd got the foundational knowledge, I was good to gone and I quickly found it difficult to get away from the computer screen.
In all, 232 scattered across a huge world map that's varied enough to satisfy my twelve-year-old self. Each one a unique little tale with an exaggerated plot and witty dialogue. My personal favorites include solving the mystery of a missing chicken from Draynor Manor and sneaking into the seemingly impenetrable Black Knights' Fortress on behalf of the opposing White Knights of Falador.
However none of these can compare to slaying the dragon on Crandor, which is the most memorable and remarkable feat a player with no cost can complete. You can unlock more quests through becoming a paid player of RuneScape and I did. The game also gives access to much of the globe map with a host of other things which marked me out from the lowly noob I'd been.
You can of course simply free roam and traverse the vast deserts and plains or go east to the dark, vampyre-infested swamps that lie in Morytania, ideally with the Bobby Pickett song 'Monster Mash which plays as background. In terms of music, entering a new area to Buy OSRS gold the first-time unlocks the corresponding soundtrack(s) for the area. There are some very captivating tunes. I can remember hearing a Christmas song playing on repeat.
Alongside the excitement, role-playing is the most massively multiplayer element that is fantastic to have thousands players to compete or trade me to. RuneScape also includes friends lists and chat on the screen which has proved to my PS2-configured , single-player mind that gaming can be a communal and also a private experience.
