The Draenei have, as the blood elvessuffered near-extinction at the hands of the Burning Legion and many of them fled to the stars, only to crash land on Azeroth. They saw value in their ideals as part of the Alliance and chose to join them, providing an important perspective to Outland and its residents. The Draenei were always known as being connected to wow classic tbc gold  the Light However, following the destruction of their world, they have been deprived of their influence, and needed to develop a way to make use of the vast energy of the elemental in Outland and become Shamans. Many Draenei went through physical regression due to their traumas, and became Broken, while others found ways to remain in the Light. This playable race could comprise paladins and Shamans.

With new allies on their side They Horde and Alliance were able to stop fighting for a short time to fight through the recently-rebuilt Dark Portal in a new world. They discovered that Burning Legion was still using the planet as a headquarters, and so the denizens of Azeroth ventured into Outland to stop the evil lurking there. They found an entire world in which many inhabitants were struggling to survive and desperately required the help of heroes to free their oppression.

Heroes from both the Alliance and Horde made their way to Shattrath City where groups of blood elves and Draenei formed their own factions in direct opposition to Illidan Stormrage and the Aldor and Scryers respectively. Players could choose one of the two factions they would pledge themselves to, though choosing one will always draw the ire at the opposition. Within Shattrath there was also the chance to meet a most unlikely hero from the past- Khadgar. The famed archmage from very first Warcraft game had been stranded on Outland when he traveled there in order to stop the Ner'zhul wars prior to the events in the lore of World of Warcraft, and he was eager to lend aid to Azeroth's heroes.

The defiant and secretive hunter Illidan Stormrage, had earned the ire of the Azeroth's people for his tyranny over Outland's remaining people. While Illidan's aim was to eventually defeat the Legion however, he was also known for his an habit of slavering and/or corrupting the orcs and Draenei in Outland and enlisting them in his army. The demon hunter's methods were brutal and vicious, and Azeroth's heroes decided that his rule over the country had to be put to an end.
