OK, I'm going to be the most uncouth and necro in on this thread, however, only because the time that has passed is relevant to the issue at hand. It's been more than one three months now since Madden NFL 23 was announced. In the meantime there was Madden 23 coins no indication that EA Corporate nor Tiburon have addressed the game's latest-generation PC version in any way that is meaningful.
On the forums, there's not been an official statement issued, there have been only replies from the community manager which can be summed as follows:
Repeating the "no next-gen PC" aspect from in the release.
The suggestion is that PC users sign to sign up for the month of EA Play Pro so we could pay for a trial and determine if the latest version is worth purchasing at full price.
This leaves the question of FieldSense being the sole difference between last-gen and next-gen in the air because Tiburon still has more information about its features prior to launch day.
It's a bit of a joke that Tiburon cannot give them a straight answer, neither will they give them a straight answer.
Meanwhile, on the media side, a quick search for "madden 23 next-gen for PC" revealed only one media outlet which actually inquired EA about the status of this PC ports, Sports Gamers Online. The only response they got was a reiteration of the "no next-gen PC" statement from the press release, and an unspecific "better luck next year" that SGO didn't directly provide. *Disclosure: It's unclear that SGO were invited to the one-day preview event that EA Tiburon held at its studio. It's a shame.
Is it a good time to note how Madden NFL 22 on PC was rated with just one review on Metacritic against 46 for XSXS and PS5 combined? We're still on the train tracks, with a only a handful of journalists asking difficult questions and critics utilising reviews in order to ensure that they hold EA accountable.
In the last article, PC players voting with their wallets are only going to see the series canceled, not enhanced. If that happens, EA will have nobody to blame except themselves, however, I am sure they will try to take it upon themselves to dismiss PC gamers as the result of a "lack of interest and support". Frankly, I have no faith in gaming media that they will argue with EA regarding that, despite PC players' constant appeals to not ship point upgrades for Madden NFL 19 year after year.
So was it the case that did EA state at the start that they wouldn't discuss or respond to questions regarding the PC version? And did they no-comment questions on the PC version or did you not even ever think of asking questions because none of you were PC gamers or coming from PC-centric stores?
I'm not sure if anyone are aware, but it's third consecutive year of ports from the last generation on PC and, despite all the talk from EA of taking feedback on social media and their forums to the heart, we ended up screaming in the cheap madden 23 coins dark. I'm 100% certain that the people invited to speak on the stage were exclusively console gamers. It would have been nice to see any of the professional journalists who were present to represent us, though, because voting through our wallets could convince EA to stop the game before they make improvements to the game.
