This is the last section of the CAT exam, and this is usually considered to be the most time-consuming section for the students. This section is entirely based on mathematical ability questions that the students have to solve. There are generally questions based on various mathematical topics like percentages, combinations, permutations, mensuration, profit and loss geometry, arithmetic, ratio equations, etc according to the CAT syllabus. The CAT exam is a computer-based online test that is conducted at the various allocated examination centers. When the admit card of the students is released, the examination center is mentioned, and the students on the day of the CAT exam have to go to those examination centers and appear for the exam.

Each section of the CAT exam has a different number of questions. The total number of questions in the exam is 68, which are divided into the various sections. The first section, which is VARC, has 24 questions. The second section, which is DILR, has 22 questions. And the last section, which is QA, has 22 questions. These are a mix of MCQ based questions and TITA based questions.
