Setting:

The game takes place in a desolate, decrepit mental asylum, abandoned since the 1920s. It’s set in a rural forest, far from civilization, with dense fog cloaking the area. As players explore, they encounter twisted remnants of experimental treatments and hear whispers and echoes of the past that haunt the halls.

Creating characters inspired by a "Poppy Playtime characters" theme and a "how to survive as a maid in a horror game" concept adds a unique layer to horror games by combining unsettling childlike elements with eerie service-based personas.

Gameplay Style:

A mix of survival horror and psychological horror. Players must solve puzzles, hide from entities, and manage limited resources while slowly uncovering a dark backstory. the

Characters:

  1. The Patient (Main Character)

    • Description: The main character wakes up in the asylum with no memory of their past. Their hands are bound in a straightjacket that they must eventually free themselves from.
    • Personality: Determined yet vulnerable, with fleeting memories coming back as flashbacks. Each memory holds a clue to their escape but also unearths more terrifying secrets.
    • Abilities: Can “tune in” to the past, allowing the player to briefly experience scenes that took place in the asylum decades ago.
  2. The Watcher

    • Description: A mysterious, tall figure in tattered robes who roams the hallways. His eyes are stitched shut, yet he can “see” anyone through the slightest sound.
    • Personality: Cold, calculating, and silent. The Watcher stalks the asylum with calm precision, stopping only to “listen” for trespassers.
    • Abilities: Can sense the player's breathing if they’re too close. Players must hold their breath (using controls) or hide to avoid him.
  3. The Caretaker

    • Description: An AI-controlled helper who appears in various disguises, sometimes as a doctor, sometimes as a nurse. Initially seems helpful, but her advice leads the player into dangerous traps.
    • Personality: Manipulative, eerie, and sadistic with a false sense of compassion. She appears to know the player’s every move, hinting at their secrets.
    • Abilities: Can “appear” behind the player without warning, unsettling them with cryptic advice or luring them toward dangerous paths.
  4. The Orphan Ghosts

    • Description: Groups of ghostly children who dart through the hallways and can only be seen in reflections or through certain windows.
    • Personality: Mischievous but haunted; they seem to want to help the player escape but often lead them into traps as part of their games.
    • Abilities: Capable of creating illusions and distorting reality, making it difficult for players to distinguish real threats from fabricated ones.
  5. The Conductor

    • Description: A once-prominent surgeon at the asylum who went mad and conducted twisted experiments on patients. He now haunts the asylum, wielding cruel, rusty surgical tools.
    • Personality: Violent, deranged, yet strangely intelligent. The Conductor views everyone as a potential “subject” for his experiments.
    • Abilities: Can manipulate the environment around him, rearranging rooms and blocking escape routes to trap the player in his “operating theatre.”

Objective:

To escape the asylum, players must find fragmented memories, decipher clues hidden in the environment, and avoid or outwit the horror-inducing characters. Each character leaves a breadcrumb trail of clues, but trusting any of them can lead to dire consequences.
