If a member finds that the cockroach troops give great drops, they don't make a great F2P (that's a drop that's not P2P). Many recommend the level-82 Lesser Demons (in RuneScape Gold Karamja Island's volcano). They boast about their medium rune helmets they've received as drops.

I've received an helm with a rune from a Lesser Demon, but I wouldn't choose the level 82 Lesser Demons because they are the most F2P-friendly drops. Undoubtedly, the Barbarian Village Dungeon's level 75 ankous (Stronghold of Security), is the creature that I believe provides the best loot.

Ankous drops law runes. Although there's no rune medium-helm, this is the most important loot. Rune items drop from Lesser Demons (or cockroach soldiers) are seldom, whereas ankous regularly drop good items.
