How to Turn Off Voicemail on iPhone

///////////////////////////////////////////////////

If someone can't reach you through regular calls and texts, they'll leave a voicemail on your device. If you're not used to checking your voicemails, you can turn them off. This is as easy to do as  installing an application https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lily-plant-identification/id1570145257 from the Apple Store. Enabling voicemail can often mess up your iPhone's storage space. This happens when you keep getting voicemails and it just sits there with no response.

Different Methods to Disable Voicemail on iPhone

Here are detailed instructions on the different methods available to disable or disable voicemail on iPhones in the future.

  1. Know the MMI codes to disable voicemail

These instructions allow you to manually change your phone settings to stop receiving voicemails.

  1. Launch the Phone app and open the keyboard.
  2. Type *#62# to find out the mailbox number.
  3. After receiving the above number, write it down.
  4. Now launch iPhone Settings.
  5. Open the Phone and touch it.
  6. Open and tap Call forwarding. Make sure call forwarding is enabled.
  7. Touch Forward and enter the voicemail service number you received earlier.
  8. Go back to the iPhone keyboard. Enter ##00

# and press the call button. This disables voicemail on your iPhone.

What if you change your mind later and want to use voicemail again? You can activate the voice mailbox by going to the phone application and dialing 004#. However, the above method has a caveat. The MMI codes you see are global standards. It may not meet the requirements of many telecommunications service providers around the world.

  1. Contact the support team of your telecommunications service provider.

An easy way is to contact your telecommunications provider. Then tell the support manager that you want to turn off voicemail on your phone number.

Follow their instructions and in a few minutes voicemail will be disabled on your iPhone. I established a customer support connection for several major US telecommunications companies.

  1. Disable call on iPhone to disable voicemail.

The ability to send a number to voicemail when you cannot answer a  call is only available if you have enabled call forwarding on your iPhone. If you disable the call-forwarding feature, voicemail cannot be used.

  1. Turn off transcription to prevent receiving incoming voicemails

Generally, people use  English to send voicemails. If you change Siri's language from English to another language, transcription is not possible.

  1. Do not delete existing voicemails

Technically, there is a limit to how many voicemails your device can receive. This usually depends on your network operator. If the mailbox is full,  voicemails cannot be delivered automatically. Therefore, do not delete voicemails until the storage space reserved for them is full. If left unattended,

Voicemail can collect and use your iPhone's storage space. Also, if you're not used to voicemails, you might miss a contact sending you one. You can avoid all these hassles by turning off voicemail on your iPhone. I hope the methods presented in this guide are useful.
