One of the most important places for Shiva believers is kedarkantha tour package, which can be found in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district. Within the majestic snow-capped peaks, enthralling meadows, and dense forests of the lower Himalayas, the name of Lord Shiva seems to be resonating throughout the landscape. Kedarnath Dham honours Lord Shiva's magnificence and is found in a gorgeous setting close to the Mandakini River's source at a height of 3,584 metres. The most significant of the Panch Kedar temples, and one of the 12 Jyotir Lingams, is found at Kedarnath (group of 5 Shiva temples in Garhwal Himalayas).
The motorable route leading to the Kedarnath temple is reachable from major locations in Uttarakhand and continues to Gauri Kund. The next step is a 14 kilometre hike to the Kedarnath temple. Ponies and palanquins (doli) are readily accessible, and during the busiest time of the yatra, one can also hire a helicopter.

THE HISTORY OF KEDARNATH TEMPLE
When the Pandavas realised they had killed their blood relations, they turned to Lord Shiva for forgiveness. Shiva disguised himself as a bull to roam the Garhwal Himalayas since he didn't want to forgive people for their sins so easy. Shiva buried himself when the Pandavas discovered him. Bhim attempted to catch him but was only able to grab his hump. Shiva's (in the guise of a bull) other body parts appeared in various locations. The bull's hump was discovered in Kedarnath, its navel was discovered in Madhya-Maheshwar, its two forelegs were discovered in Tunganath, its face in Rudranath, and its hair appeared in Kalpeshwar. Panch Kedar is the collective name for these five holy locations.

BEDFORD TEMPLE
Grey stone makes up the imposing and imposing construction of Lord Shiva's shrine. 14 miles of steep ascent from Gauri Kund are filled with immense natural beauty. The pilgrims enjoy spectacular views of snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and beautiful rhododendron forests thanks to the paved and steep trail. Standing just across from the shrine, a huge stone statue of the Nandi Bull guards and gazes at it.
There is only one Garbha Griha, which is home to Lord Shiva's main idol, a pyramid-shaped rock. In the Mandapa part of the shrine, there is room for the idols of Lord Krishna, the Pandavas, Draupadi, and Kunti. The temple has survived natural disasters such as avalanches,

GAURIKUND
It serves as the beginning point for the trip to the Kedarnath temple. According to a mythology, Goddess Parvati (also called Gauri) meditated here before she wed Lord Shiva. It is made up of natural hot springs and provides pilgrims with a cooling bath before they leave for the revered Kedareshwar darshan (the Lord of Kedar, Shiva).
THE CHORABARI TAL
Less than 4 kilometres of hiking from Kedarnath town will take you to the calm and beautiful Chorabari Lake, which is fed by the Chorabari Glacier. It also goes by the name Gandhi Sarovar since part of Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were submerged in its waters. There is a waterfall one must cross on the route. Although it seems funny, caution should be used before crossing it.
TEMPLE OF BHAIRAV
An additional significant and historic temple is located in the temple complex on the south side. It is dedicated to Bhairav Nath, who is thought to be the guardian of the temple compound during the winter.
SUSUKI TAL
The sparkling blue-water lake of Vasuki, which is 3,135 metres above sea level, is around 8 kilometres from Kedarnath. Although the trek is challenging and requires crossing glaciers, it is well worth the effort to see the unspoiled Himalayas.
KEDARNATH'S BEST TIME TO VISIT
Kedarnath has a cool environment for the majority of the year and is best visited in the summer. Visitors can explore this area in good weather from May to June and from September to October. The weather in Kedarnath is still very pleasant and cool around this time. Here, the winters are severe, with below-freezing temperatures and lots of rain. When travelling to this pilgrimage site during the monsoons, one must pack a few necessities due to the tremendous downpour that the monsoon season is known for
