In that light we've tried to make it so every time you log in, and every day that you log in, and you go to Broken Shore or go to Broken Isles, you don't know exactly what to do. You get in, assess the situation, and decide the best way to take this fight on to the Legion now.
It is a feeling with Legion that this is limited to the island, in contrast to Cataclysm, where you experienced these wide-reaching consequences that affected the entirety of Azeroth. Is that more of an intentional decision? Do you think that the impact on the Legion will be felt more broadly in Azeroth at any point?
In RS, one of the overriding philosophies of Blizzard is concentrating the coolness. If you break out the various elements of content to a large extent it will become somewhat overwhelming for players. We observed in the initial launch the invasions that occurred in several parts of Azeroth, and then decided partially for the fantasy aspect, partially because of the story that the Legion was going to focus exclusively on Broken Shore and its immediate surroundings, namely it the Broken Isles. We did this because we felt that the gameplay is very suitable for this.
MD The biggest ideas that the patch has is that we are going be returning in Broken Shore. Broken Shore and reclaim the Broken Shore. This is where the Legion expansion really began. The way you began the Legion was to go through the Broken Shore, you fought Gul'dan and all these big baddies, and then we suffered major losses. We lost Tirion as well as Vol'Jin, we lost Varian massive losses, and we were forced to withdraw. This patch is related to the continuation the story , and moving it forward.
A fascinating aspect as well in this patch is some Class Orders. The Class Orders are the main reason for "Why we'll succeed where we once failed." In the end, a often with Class Orders, we do go re-visit those other places. Then, with the Monk class, as of this patch, we're likely to return to Stormstout Brewery. This is a great opportunity to spread players across the board in a way that reminds them of how large and vibrant the world is. You will see the development in the form of "Oh, the Legion has been spreading their tendrils out."
